The lodge's flagship morning tour drives about 35 km along the British line of advance to Isandlwana, with a recorded David Rattray narrative on the way. After the Nqutu escarpment viewpoint and the site museum, a guide tells the story of the battle at the foot of the mountain, drawing on Zulu as well as British accounts, and there is time to walk the battlefield afterwards. It usually leaves at 7:30am and is back by about 1pm. Normally for ages 12 and over.
