A short drive from the lodge takes you to Rorke's Drift, where a small garrison defended a mission station all night after Isandlwana, a fight that earned 11 Victoria Crosses. After a look around the museum, a guide tells the story on the site itself. The tour leaves at 3pm and is back by about 6pm, and pairs naturally with the Isandlwana morning tour. Normally for ages 12 and over.
