An Explore Africa journey

Cape Town, the Winelands & Kruger

Ref EA2026009·Indicative from A$7,000 per person·8 nights

When to go

Cape Town and the Winelands are best from October to April. Kruger is at its best for game in the dry months from May to September, but it is good all year.

Country information

South Africa is the great all-rounder: Big Five safari, Cape Town, the Winelands and dramatic coastlines in one journey. What to know from the start: • Entry requirements: confirm passports, visas, digital entry forms and transit rules at smartraveller.gov.au and each destination's official immigration website before travel. • Health: seek route-specific advice from a travel-health professional and smartraveller.gov.au; vaccination and malaria guidance varies by itinerary. • Currency: South African Rand (ZAR); cards accepted almost everywhere. • Getting around: good domestic flights between Cape Town and the Kruger airports.
