Bambata is a very large cave reached by a 4 km walk, first through natural forest and then up a long granite ridge with views into the Whovi Game Park. It was one of the first sites in Zimbabwe to be excavated, with signs of people living there about 3,000 years ago, and its paintings of animals and people are thought to be 300 to 1,500 years old. The outing takes about 5 hours. Minimum two guests; national park fees are extra.
