An Explore Africa journey

Botswana Fly-in: Delta, Moremi & the Kalahari

Ref EA2026011·Indicative from A$12,000 per person·8 nights

When to go

May to October for the Okavango flood and dry-season game. The Makgadikgadi Pans are at their best from November to March for the zebra migration, and in the dry months for meerkats and big skies.

Country information

Botswana is safari at its most exclusive: the water wilderness of the Okavango Delta, Moremi's big game and the vast salt pans of the Kalahari, run on a low-volume model with few vehicles. What to know from the start: • Entry requirements: confirm passports, visas, digital entry forms and transit rules at smartraveller.gov.au and each destination's official immigration website before travel. • Health: seek route-specific advice from a travel-health professional and smartraveller.gov.au; vaccination and malaria guidance varies by itinerary. • Currency: Botswana Pula (BWP); US dollars are useful for tips. • Getting around: light-aircraft hops between camps with a strict soft-bag limit of about 20kg.
