An Explore Africa journey

Zambia: Victoria Falls, Walking Safari & the Zambezi

Ref EA2026017·Indicative from A$12,000 per person·8 nights

When to go

June to October is the dry season for walking and game viewing in South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi. Victoria Falls is fullest from March to June.

Country information

Zambia is the home of the walking safari, with South Luangwa's leopards, canoeing on the Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls on its southern border at Livingstone. What to know from the start: • Entry requirements: confirm passports, visas, digital entry forms and transit rules at smartraveller.gov.au and Zambia's official immigration website before travel. • Health: seek route-specific advice from a travel-health professional and smartraveller.gov.au; vaccination and malaria guidance varies by itinerary. • Currency: Zambian Kwacha (ZMW). • Getting around: scheduled flights via Lusaka and light aircraft to the camps, with soft bags of about 20kg.
