Overview

About Time + Tide Kakuli

Time + Tide Kakuli sits above the Luangwa River in South Luangwa National Park, with five safari rooms looking out towards the water. Four have one bedroom, while the family room has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Private verandahs, indoor and outdoor showers, and outdoor baths keep the riverbank setting close. Days combine game drives, walking safaris and cultural visits, with meals, standard drinks and laundry included. The main lounge overlooks the river and a permanent waterhole. Open from 20 May to 15 November, Kakuli suits travellers who want a small camp with walking, predator sightings and seasonal carmine bee-eaters.

“Five rooms keep Kakuli small, while river views and a mix of walking and game drives give each day variety. We like it for keen wildlife watchers and families seeking a two-bedroom safari room.”
