About Machangulo Beach Lodge

Machangulo Beach Lodge is a beachside retreat set on a secluded peninsula between the Indian Ocean and Inhaca Bay, about one hour from Maputo. The lodge features ten ocean-view rooms designed to blend with the surrounding dune forest, drawing on the colourful culture of Southern Mozambique through the use of traditional Capulana fabric throughout the décor. Built in 2009–2010 with a strong emphasis on sustainability and local community, it offers guests a relaxed yet professionally run experience combining barefoot comfort with genuine Mozambican hospitality.
