Overview

About Muzimu Lodge

Muzimu Lodge sits beside an oxbow of the Mussicadzi River in Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park. Six canvas safari tents open onto private timber decks, while the shared lounge, dining area and swimming pool give you space to unwind between outings. Game drives, guided walks and weekday community visits connect a stay with both the wildlife and the people behind the park’s recovery. Meals, local drinks and laundry are included. Children aged 12 and over are welcome. The small camp suits travellers who want wildlife time alongside a closer look at conservation in practice.

“A small riverside camp for travellers who want more than game drives: guided walks, birding and community visits bring Gorongosa’s recovery into focus, with a pool and private decks for quieter hours.”
