Overview

About Bateleur Safari Camp

Bateleur Safari Camp sits beside a seasonal riverbed in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, within Greater Kruger. Its canvas-sided safari units have en-suite bathrooms, and the camp accommodates up to 16 guests. Days revolve around guided drives, walking safaris and practical bushcraft demonstrations, with time between outings for the swimming pool or shared deck. The afternoon drive includes sundowners and spotlight viewing after dark. A boma provides a place to gather around the fire. Solar power supplies the camp, with generator backup. The small scale suits couples, solo travellers and small groups who want time both in vehicles and on foot.

“A small camp for travellers who want more than a drive: extended walks, tracking and hands-on bushcraft add different ways to explore the Timbavati, while the pool and riverbed deck make downtime easy.”
