Overview

About Deteema Springs

Deteema Springs is an eight-tent camp above permanent springs in north-western Hwange National Park. Raised canvas tents have private decks, en-suite bathrooms and fans, with a family unit among the accommodation. The springs attract elephants and other wildlife, so time in camp is part of the safari rather than a pause between outings. Game drives, walking safaris and bird watching are included, while a plunge pool, bar and library offer places to relax. Children aged six and over are welcome; walking safaris are for guests aged 16 and over. The camp opens from April to December.

“A small camp for travellers who want wildlife watching to continue between drives. The springs, private decks and walking safaris put the setting ahead of resort-style distractions.”
