Overview
Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge sits among coffee trees on the outskirts of Arusha, with 30 Plantation Rooms and Suites arranged around an early-twentieth-century homestead. Rooms have en-suite bathrooms, verandahs and indoor log fires, while suites add private terraces with outdoor fires. The main house brings together a restaurant, bistro and lounge, with a swimming pool and garden terrace outside. Breakfast and a Shanga workshop experience are included. Coffee-estate tours, city outings and Arusha National Park excursions cost extra. This is a leafy place to pause before or after a Tanzania safari, rather than a lodge centred on wildlife viewing.
“We like the combination of coffee gardens, fireside rooms and a pool for slowing down between flights and safari days. It suits travellers who want more from an Arusha stop than an airport bed.”
Known for
Coffee-plantation surroundings, fireside rooms and a Shanga crafts workshop make this an engaging stop either side of a safari.
