Overview

About GweGwe Beach Lodge

GweGwe Beach Lodge sits above the beach in Mkambati Nature Reserve on the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast. Its nine sea-facing suites include two family suites, each with two bedrooms, and every suite has a private deck and swimming pool. Days can combine nature drives, birdwatching and cycling with canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding on the lagoons. Three meals, local drinks and land and lagoon activities are included, while offshore excursions cost extra. A shared lounge, outdoor dining, spa and gym provide quieter ways to spend time between outings. The lodge’s lease and conservation fees support the surrounding community and reserve.

“Private pools and sea-facing suites make time at the lodge appealing, but the real draw is the variety outside: nature drives, lagoon paddling and cycling. A strong choice for active families who want more than a beach holiday.”
