Overview

About Lemala Wildwaters

Lemala Wildwaters occupies Kalagala Island in the Nile, about 25 kilometres downstream from Jinja. Arrival is by boat, with rapids surrounding the forested island. Ten elevated suites connect to the restaurant, bar and library by wooden walkways; two suites have private pools. Outdoor baths and river-facing decks make time in the room part of the experience, while the communal pool and spa offer other places to unwind. Full board includes meals, house drinks and laundry. Horse riding, fishing, rafting and kayaking are available at extra cost. The lodge is open year-round and suits couples combining river adventures with a quiet retreat.
