Overview

About Mma Dinare Camp

Mma Dinare Camp, meaning 'Mother Buffalo' in Setswana, is a classic-style safari camp set on a private 27,000-hectare-plus community concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the southern Okavango Delta. Raised canvas tents connected by wooden walkways overlook the Gomoti River floodplain, where buffalo, elephants, red lechwe, lions, and African wild dogs are regularly seen. The camp is run in partnership with the nearby Sankuyo community, with most staff drawn from local villages, providing authentic cultural insights alongside expert guiding. Solar-powered throughout, it blends laidback luxury with a deep commitment to conservation and community development.

“Community-partnered Okavango camp with local staff and solar power; suits conservation-minded travellers seeking authentic cultural insights and sustainable practices.”
