Overview
About Virunga Lodge
Virunga Lodge is a celebrated Rwandan lodge perched on a ridge with sweeping views of the Virunga Volcanoes, the Musanze valley, and the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo. Built in 2004 by Praveen Moman, the hand-crafted, Afro-chic property comprises twelve elegant bandas — four deluxe and six standard guest units plus two guide rooms — each with a private terrace. Guests enjoy personal butler service, locally-inspired cuisine, complimentary spa treatments, and all-inclusive premium drinks, with a strong emphasis on gorilla trekking and conservation-based experiences.
“Suits conservation-focused gorilla trekkers valuing butler service and all-inclusive premium drinks; limited to twelve rooms.”
