Overview
Ilora Retreats has fourteen canvas-and-timber suites set among bushland inside Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Private verandas, bathtubs and a choice of king or twin beds give the tents a comfortable base between outings. The camp runs on solar power, with a swimming pool, spa, library and Photo Lounge among its shared spaces. Full Stay includes three meals, water, tea and coffee; game drives come with the separate Safari Stay plan. Families have room for children, while the photography facilities give keen photographers somewhere to work between drives.
“A small Mara camp with more than game drives to fill the day: a pool, library and Photo Lounge make it a good fit for families and photographers who enjoy time back at camp.”
Known for
Resident lions, leopards and cheetahs share the surrounding Mara with elephant and plains game, while the migration brings river-crossing opportunities from July to October.
