Overview

About Kanana

Kanana sits on a private concession beside the Xudum River in the south-western Okavango Delta. Thatched safari tents look over the floodplain, with a two-bedroom family tent for guests travelling together. Solar power runs the camp, and shared spaces include a lounge, dining deck, bar and swimming pool. Game drives, night drives and guided walks explore the surrounding islands and grasslands; mokoro and boat outings follow the seasonal floodwaters. Birdwatchers have a seasonal heronry and regular Pel’s fishing owl sightings to look for. A separate sleep-out deck offers a night under the stars from April to November at an extra cost.

“Solar-powered tented camp suits eco-conscious guests; exclusive concession renowned for heronries and birding; seasonal water activities vary.”
