Overview
Laba Siwandu sits beside Lake Nzerakera in Tanzania’s Nyerere National Park. Its 13 tented suites have thatched roofs, private wooden decks, copper bathtubs and open-air showers. Days combine private game drives with boat safaris or guided walks, bringing different perspectives on the lakeside wildlife. Two swimming pools and a gym offer a change of pace between outings, while meals can include a pontoon lunch on the lake. The standard package covers meals, drinks except Champagne, laundry and scheduled Mtemere airstrip transfers. Park and concession fees are extra.
“We love the choice of exploring by boat, on foot and by private vehicle, then returning to a lakeside deck. A strong fit for travellers who want variety without changing camps.”
Known for
Boat safaris on Lake Nzerakera complement private game drives in a park home to hippos, elephants, lions and wild dogs.
