Overview

About Mwaleshi Camp

Mwaleshi Camp keeps the focus on walking in North Luangwa National Park. Four thatched chalets sit beside the Mwaleshi River, with open-air en-suite bathrooms and river views. Days centre on guided walks with an armed park scout, followed by meals in camp and time by the water. The camp lies within the rhino sanctuary, with lion, elephant and wild dog among the area's wildlife. There is solar charging but no Wi-Fi. Open from 22 June to 31 October, this is a small, simple base for travellers who want to explore on foot rather than spend each day in a vehicle.

“Four riverside chalets and a walking-first approach make Mwaleshi a strong choice for repeat safari travellers and birders who value time on foot over hotel comforts.”
