Overview

About Ongava Lodge

Ongava Lodge sits on a rocky ridge above a waterhole on the southern edge of Etosha National Park. Its 14 rock-and-thatch chalets include a two-bedroom family unit, with air-conditioning and private viewing decks. Shared dining decks and a photographic hide keep the waterhole in focus, while the pool offers a break between outings. Game drives explore the private reserve and neighbouring Etosha, with night drives and guided walks adding different perspectives. The Full board rate covers meals, with activities and drinks charged separately. Families with younger children need the lodge’s private-activity or exclusive-use arrangements.

“The hilltop views and waterhole hide make this a rewarding base for wildlife photographers, with rock-and-thatch chalets for travellers who prefer solid walls to canvas.”
