Overview

About Shipwreck Lodge

Shipwreck Lodge sits among the dunes of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast National Park, with ten timber cabins shaped like stranded vessels and views towards the Atlantic. Eight twin cabins and two family cabins have private decks, en-suite showers and wood-burning stoves. The shared lounge and restaurant open onto a broad deck facing the coast. Days combine nature drives and coastal walks with sandboarding, quad biking and excursions to the Hoarusib River. Quad-bike options have different age limits for passengers, children’s bikes and standard bikes. All meals, standard drinks, laundry, daily activities and Möwe Bay transfers are included. Children of all ages are welcome, and the lodge operates year-round.

“Choose Shipwreck for its unusual cabins, dune adventures and the contrast of desert and Atlantic, rather than a wildlife-heavy safari. It suits landscape photographers and travellers drawn to remote places.”
