Overview
Skybeds puts the bed, rather than a game-drive vehicle, at the centre of a safari in Khwai Private Reserve. Three raised platforms sleep six guests beside a waterhole, with open-air beds above private bathrooms and a separate platform for shared meals. Mosquito nets, warm bedding and a dome tent for wet weather keep the arrangement practical without enclosing the night sky. Elephants and predators visit the waterhole, and an underground hide offers another vantage point. Open from April to October, this small camp works as an overnight addition to a stay at one of the neighbouring Natural Selection camps.
“For travellers who want the night itself to be the safari, three open-air platforms and a busy waterhole make this an intimate addition to a longer Khwai stay.”
Known for
Open-air sleeping platforms overlook a waterhole visited by elephants, lions, wild dogs and hyenas.
