Overview
Camp Kipwe sits among granite boulders overlooking the Aba Huab valley in Damaraland. Its nine rounded bungalows have private outdoor bathrooms and places to sit outside, while the Kipwe Suite and two Luxury Suites add lounges and heated splash pools. Shared spaces include a pool tucked into the rocks, a lounge, dining room and bar. Dinner and breakfast are included in the standard stay. Guided nature drives search for desert-adapted elephants, with excursions to Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes available at extra cost. Children are welcome, and Wi-Fi is limited in this remote setting.
“The boulder setting gives Camp Kipwe its character, with outdoor bathrooms, valley views and a pool among the rocks. It suits travellers who want a comfortable Damaraland base with optional elephant drives and cultural excursions.”
