Overview
About Etendeka Mountain Camp
Etendeka Mountain Camp sits among basalt hills and lava plains in the foothills of the Grootberg massif. Ten Meru tents provide en-suite bathrooms, open-air bucket showers and solar lighting, with a shared lounge, bar and swimming pool at the main building. Guided nature walks and scenic game drives explore the unfenced concession, while clear evenings bring telescope stargazing. Meals are shared around a long table with the host and guide. The stay includes full board, scheduled activities and the rough-track transfer from Palmwag Lodge. Children aged eight and over are welcome, and a two-night minimum keeps the pace unhurried.
“A good fit for travellers who prefer walking, geology and a small, sociable camp to a busy safari schedule. The bucket showers and shared meals keep the experience simple.”
