Overview
Governors' Camp sits beneath riverine trees beside the Mara River in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve. Canvas tents have en-suite bathrooms and private verandahs, while the family tents bring two bedrooms together around a central living area. Up to three game drives per full day are included, alongside meals, selected drinks, laundry and Musiara Airstrip transfers. Between drives, guests can settle into the riverside bar or book a massage in the spa tent. Children of all ages are welcome, making this a practical choice for families wanting a traditional tented safari.
“We like the combination of a Mara River setting, traditional canvas tents and included game drives, with two-bedroom family tents that make travelling with children straightforward.”
Known for
A riverside base for hippos, birdlife and game drives among the resident wildlife and seasonal migrating herds of the Masai Mara.
